In 2015, TimeWave launched the first virtual reality hackathon in New York City. Since then, we’ve been focusing our programming and creative efforts in immersive technologies and XR. After running XR Lab (formerly Virtual Reality Lab) for a few years, we’ve launched the Studio, which is dedicated to the creation of XR formats in the entertainment space.
Originally, TimeWave gathered creative media artists and technologists to explore the use of technology in storytelling and to invent new forms of media and entertainment. Launched at an Oxford-Cambridge Club gathering in London (2010), this transatlantic initiative was fueled by graduates of Yale University and a powerhouse Anglo-American team.
